No, you can charge the battery at any time, even if it is only partially discharged.
Defective batteries do not belong in household waste and must be disposed of properly. It is best to take it to an authorised dealer.
We guarantee that the battery will still have 60% of its original capacity after 700 full charge cycles or two years from the date of purchase. Of course you can charge the battery more often or use it for more than two years. The battery may lose some capacity over the years due to the natural aging process.

No, the battery may only be charged with the supplied Klever charger.
You have a warranty for the following terms on your Klever bike:
3 year warranty for electronic parts (motor, controller, sensors and display)

2 year warranty on the charger
2 year warranty on the battery subject to conditions (free to extend for +1 year on our website, under the heading “Warranty”)

All Klever batteries have a standard warranty of 2 years. If you fill in the warranty form on our website, the warranty period will be extended for free by +1 year.
No, the warranty does not void. We recommend, however, for your own safety to carry out all recommended inspections.
If you want to have your Klever bike repaired, this is only possible at authorized Klever dealers. All authorized Klever dealers are in close contact with our technical department and are regularly trained.
Klever is not responsible or liable for repair costs carried out by unauthorized Klever dealers. Replacement of warranty parts within the warranty period does not lead to an extension or renewal of that warranty period. On an electric bike (25 km/h) you have to pedal along to get ahead. The pedal assistance stops at 25 kilometers per hour. The traffic rules for a normal bike also apply to electric cyclists.

– the electric bike does not require a registration number;

On a speed pedelec (45 km/h) you have to pedal along to get ahead. The pedal assistance stops at 45 kilometers per hour. There are different traffic rules for a speed pedelec than for a normal bike or electric bike.
Rules in the Netherlands:
– you must be at least 16 years old;
– you must have at least a moped driver’s license or car driver’s license B;
– wearing a bike helmet that complies with NTA 8776 is mandatory;
– a rear-view mirror on the handlebars is mandatory;
– the speed pedelec must be registered with the Rijksdienst voor het Wegverkeer (RDW) upon receipt and must be provided with a yellow registration number;
– third-party liability insurance is mandatory;
– a speed pedelec rides on a moped path or on the roadway;
Rules in Belgium:
– you must be at least 16 years old;
– you must have at least a moped driver’s license or car driver’s license B;
– wearing a bike helmet that complies with EN1078 is mandatory;
– the speed pedelec must be registered with the Vehicle Registration Service (DIV) upon receipt and must be provided with a yellow registration number;
– with a speed pedelec you follow the traffic rules for moped riders;

You have complete control over how fast an electric bike goes. But the maximum speed of electric bike varies. Klever has several models of bikes with maximum speeds of 25 and 45 km per hour.
All Klever bike come with an e-key. With this e-key you can activate your Klever bike and block the motor. This electronic block is combined with an acoustic alarm system, which can be activated with the Lock button on the display. The battery can only be removed from the frame by unlocking the battery lock with the key. Ask your Klever dealer for advice on how best to lock your bike.
In general, it is no problem at all to ride your Klever bike at low temperatures. Store your battery in a warm place before you travel. Please note that in winter at low outside temperatures the range can decrease by 30%.
